925 means the metal is 92.5% pure silver, alloyed for strength — pure silver on its own is too soft to hold a stone securely. It is the international standard for fine silver jewellery, and every Aquamarise® piece is stamped 925 inside the band.

Ours is then finished with rhodium — the same precious-metal finish used on white gold. Rhodium is one of the hardest metals used in jewellery and completely non-reactive, which is what gives the ring its bright, cool white surface and keeps it looking that way through daily wear.

Warm water, a drop of mild washing-up liquid and a soft toothbrush around the setting. Rinse well and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth — moisture left sitting on any finish is what dulls it fastest.

Skip the silver dips and abrasive polishing compounds sold for untreated silver: the rhodium finish is doing the work here, and those products strip it rather than clean it. Take the ring off before swimming, cleaning or applying perfume and lotion, and store it dry and separately from harder stones. Our Jewelry Care Guide has the full routine.

For a promise ring, a stacking ring, a travel piece or a first engagement ring, it is an excellent choice — rhodium-finished, bright white, and a fraction of the price of gold. For a ring intended to be worn every day for decades, solid gold and platinum are harder-wearing and hold their value; those are made to order in 3–6 weeks and cost considerably more. Sterling silver is kept in stock and leaves our workshop in 1–4 business days; engraved orders sit at the longer end while each one is laser-cut. Standard laser engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a selection of symbols included at no extra cost. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order.
