The natural moonstone center
At the heart of this ring sits an 8×6 mm natural oval moonstone of roughly 1.4 carats, glowing with the floating blue-white sheen (adularescence) that gives rainbow moonstone its name. Moonstone is a genuine, earth-mined gemstone — long cherished as a stone of intuition, new beginnings and protection — and each stone shows its own unique play of light. It rates a softer Mohs 6–6.5, so it's best treated as a delicate-wear stone rather than an everyday knockabout.
