Ethical Sourcing

Our gems sparkle with purpose. Before the exquisite pieces grace your hands, we ensure the materials are consciously chosen and traceable.

Our Approach

  • Aquamarise® partners with suppliers who share our vision and commitment to fair labor practices. We make sure to keep our working conditions safe for our workforce and prioritize their well-being.
  • We stand committed to our environmental responsibility. This is the core reason why our gemstones go through an entire ethical journey before finally falling into your hands.
  • We are proud to share their stories with you, with no detail hidden or disguised. We believe in transparency.
  • Our selection consists of only conflict-free diamonds and gemstones that are responsibly sourced from nature or lab-grown. Either way, we make sure to get them from clearly defined and ethical sources.
  • When you choose Aquamarise®, you support a chain of ethical care that touches each minor, maker, and designer of our jewelry.

Conflict‑Free Commitment

At Aquamarise®, we take pride in our conflict-free commitment. We ensure every gemstone and diamond we use is sourced responsibly and ethically. Whether it's a diamond, a moissanite, or a natural gemstone, each one of these is carefully selected from trusted, conflict-free zones.

We only choose suppliers who honor mining practices by respecting human rights and local communities. We provide complete traceability, so you can confidently carry the brilliance our stones exhibit. With us, you can rest assured that the shine never comes at the expense of our community or the planet.

We also choose our partners who share the same vision for safe and fair labor practices and environmental responsibility. We adhere to the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS), which is the globally recognized standard to ensure that diamonds are not used to finance rebel or armed conflict movements.

This way, we play our part in ensuring that conflict diamonds do not enter the legitimate supply chain. Our lab-grown diamonds further strengthen this commitment by offering the same chemical and physical beauty as the mined diamonds but with a much smaller environmental footprint.

Even our unique stones, like moss agate, are chosen, of course, for their natural beauty, but also for sustainable sourcing.

Supporting People Throughout the Supply Chain

Aquamarise®, it’s all about supporting people at every step of the supply chain. It’s not just about the materials but about our people and communities. So we ensure to partner with suppliers who follow safe working practices, fair wages, and value their workers' rights like us.

We have a zero tolerance for child labor or forced labor practices. We also actively engage with partners who share our commitment to integrity and accountability. We seek to strengthen the people behind our stones and success. So, part of our goal is to support the mining and artisan communities by investing in their health, well-being, and education.

So when you choose Aquamarise®, you’re not just getting ethically sourced jewelry. You are contributing to a whole system that values human dignity and sustainability (just as much as the gemstones' design!)

Sourcing with Intention

At Aquamarise®, ethics and transparency are at the front lines.

Lab-Grown Diamonds

Our lab-grown diamonds are chemically identical to natural diamonds. They are grown in controlled lab environments using HPHT or CVD methods. The process is certified by trusted authorities like IGI, which is the leading certification body for lab-grown diamonds.

So you get the same brilliance and allure without the social and environmental costs of new mining.

Moissanite

Moissanite is a silicon carbide gemstone. It’s not technically a diamond but a distinct mineral with unique properties. One of the distinct characteristics is that it has more fire or rainbow flash than diamonds. Each of these is also ethically produced in the lab, so there’s no doubt about its traceability.

Moss Agate

For a touch of organic beauty, our collection features the beautiful moss agate, too. Moss agate, too, is a naturally occurring stone, and so, it is sourced via documented ethical practices only.

Sapphires and Other Gemstones

The other precious stones, like sapphires, are also carefully vetted for their origins. By choosing our stones this way, we ensure that each piece not only meets our high standards of beauty and quality but also supports responsible practices.

Trusted Partnerships

Ethical sourcing starts with the people and the organization they work for. At Aquamarise®, each supplier undergoes a rigorous vetting process. To work with us, they have to provide detailed documentation of their sources and work practices.

This is done to ensure they remain aligned with our values of transparency and ethical sourcing. We prioritize having partnerships with RJC-certified and Fairmined suppliers. This way, we also meet the internationally recognized standards for responsible mining and labor rights.

But this is not where our commitment stops. We regularly review our supplier relationships and audit them so that transparency and accountability are maintained over the years.

Drawing the Line

Ethical sourcing isn’t something we just choose; it’s our top priority. We never work with materials that come from conflict zones or suppliers who conduct labor violations. We don’t source a single gemstone or metal without a verifiable and reasonable origin.

Any supplier with dirty gold or part of unregulated and destructive mining is off our list. We are strongly committed to our ethical sourcing practices, so each piece of Aquamarise® jewelry shines with our core values of integrity and responsibility.
