What is an Appraisal?

A jewelry appraisal is a professional evaluation of the value of a piece of jewelry, typically conducted for purposes such as insurance, resale, or estate planning. At Aquamarise, a certified appraiser carefully examines various aspects of your jewelry, including its materials, craftsmanship, design, and market demand, to accurately determine its worth. The appraisal is performed by our local independent jeweler in Niceville or Crestview, Florida. Appraisals are optional, and you can always choose to have one done by any independent jeweler.

Lead Time

Please note that an appraisal may add an additional 2-4 days to the lead time, on top of your piece's production time. Unfortunately, we do not offer expedited appraisal services, but you may opt to have one done by your local jeweler instead.

Why is an Appraisal Important?

Your jewelry holds significant value, both emotionally and financially. It's essential to have your jewelry appraised by a professional jeweler, especially for pieces with substantial sentimental or monetary worth. An appraisal provides an accurate valuation of your jewelry and serves as a critical document for insurance, estate planning, and potential resale.

In the unfortunate event of loss, theft, or damage, an appraisal can protect you from significant financial loss. Without one, your insurance company may not fully cover the value of your jewelry.

Additionally, an appraisal helps you plan for the future, ensuring that your assets are fairly distributed among heirs or beneficiaries, thereby avoiding conflicts and disputes.

A professional jewelry appraisal is a wise investment that offers peace of mind, financial security, and ensures the fair distribution of assets. Don't risk losing or undervaluing your precious possessions!

Additional Information

All moissanites larger than 1/2 carat come with a free GRA certificate. Other certifications are available at an additional cost.
All lab-grown and natural diamonds with stones over 1/2 carat come with GIA or IGI appraisals.
Imitation or lab-created stones do not come with certificates, but we can still provide an appraisal for the ring at additional cost.
The appraisal fee is non-refundable once the work has been completed, even if the item is returned for a refund.
