Recycled Precious Metals

Our priority is to acquire metals with a purpose. We do not look for new extractions or mining facilities. Rather, we intentionally choose recycled precious metals when possible to minimize energy use and carbon emissions.

We understand the overall environmental impact of refining existing metals is comparatively lower than that of newly mined materials. This is because the process takes less energy than outright extraction and processing from the ground.

So we process metals that are already circulating in the market in the form of post-consumer jewelry or recovered components from electronic waste. These are reclaimed (responsibly, of course) and refined into high-quality materials for our jewelry making. The whole process does not compromise or affect the quality or durability of the materials in any way.

In fact, recycled silver and platinum are chemically identical to their mined alternatives. Unlike surface mined metals, there’s no difference in their finish and performance. Instead, there’s a much lighter footprint and greater transparency in sourcing these. (Learn more about our recycled metal sourcing here.)

Made-to-Order — Reducing Waste by Design

Aquamarise® creates most of their piece of jewelry to order. This means that each one of the rings, necklaces, pendants, and other pieces of jewelry is specifically designed and created for the person who orders or will wear it.

We craft made-to-order designs, so there’s no overproduction or excess inventory, i.e., we ensure minimal wastage. This way, our artisans also remain focused on intentional design instead of focusing on mass production.

Our made-to-order approach greatly reduces waste and environmental impact. By working on only what is requested, we avoid the unnecessary use of our limited resources. This conscious practice allows us to honor the art of jewelry making while remaining committed to sustainability.

Thoughtful Packaging

At Aquamarise®, the practice of sustainability doesn’t stop at jewelry making. Every part of our process and supply chain, all the way to our packaging and delivery, reflects it. We use recycled and recyclable materials in our packaging, too.

We pack each item individually and elegantly in eco-friendly materials that look appealing yet minimize the carbon footprint.

Sustainable Stone Choices

You will find our extensive range of gemstones that not just look beautiful but are thoughtful advocates of the planet. Like Moissanite, for one, which is a silicon carbide, is one of our top stones used in our custom-designed pieces. It is preferred as it has a much smaller environmental footprint than traditional mining.

At Aquamarise®, we work with carefully selected gemstones sourced from environmentally and ethically responsible suppliers. Our priority is ensuring traceability and having a minimal environmental impact where possible.

Lab-grown diamonds give us the liberty of doing so. These are chemically and physically the same as the naturally occurring diamonds. They are composed of pure carbon arranged in the same crystal structures. But because they are grown in controlled environments rather than mined, lab-grown diamonds typically have a smaller environmental footprint and greater traceability. So, with these, we can easily align quality with sustainability.

We create these gems using advanced methods like High‑Pressure High‑Temperature (HPHT) and Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD). These are then certified by trusted institutions, such as IGI or GIA, as applicable.

Also on our panel are the marvel stones like moss agate. These are selected due to their unique patterns and earthy aesthetic. Their natural formation makes every piece look one‑of‑a‑kind, yet natural.
