Sunlight caught and set in silver. This yellow sapphire engagement ring centers a genuine lab-grown lemon yellow sapphire — a real corundum gem at 9 on the Mohs scale — in an elongated cushion cut, wrapped in a sparkling halo and a twisted rope band. Crafted in solid 925 sterling silver with a rhodium finish, it is a joyful, radiant ring made to be worn every day for a lifetime.
Halo design with a rope-band twist
An elongated cushion center stretches gracefully across the finger, framed by a halo of sparkling accents that amplify its glow and give it real presence. The twisted rope-style band adds a subtle vintage character, layering texture beneath the bright golden stone. It is a standout among our sapphire engagement rings, and its sunny warmth makes it an easy favorite across our wider sapphire jewelry range.
The genuine yellow sapphire
This center is a genuine lab-grown lemon yellow sapphire, which means real corundum — the same mineral as any mined sapphire, with identical chemistry and an identical Mohs hardness of 9, second only to diamond. That outstanding durability is what makes sapphire so well suited to everyday wear, shrugging off the scratches and knocks of daily life. The vivid golden-yellow hue, carefully faceted to maximize brilliance, radiates optimism and warmth against the bright white metal. Curious how sapphire compares with other beloved gemstones? Our guide on aquamarine vs sapphire engagement rings is a great starting point.
A brilliant simulated diamond halo
The center stone is encircled by a halo of simulated diamonds, adding a crisp ring of white sparkle that enhances the bold presence of the yellow sapphire and catches the light from every angle. It is a bright, budget-friendly way to bring classic engagement-ring brilliance to the design.
Solid sterling silver with a rhodium finish
The ring is crafted in solid 925 sterling silver and finished with high-polish rhodium — the same precious metal used on fine white-gold jewelry. That rhodium layer gives the band a bright, mirror-white tone that makes the golden sapphire pop, and it adds a protective shield against tarnish and everyday scratches, keeping the silver looking freshly polished. It is nickel-free and hypoallergenic, so it stays comfortable on sensitive skin.

Sizing & care
Choose your size at checkout. If you are between sizes or unsure, reach out and we will help — and if the fit is not quite right, resizing is available and starts from a modest fee. To keep the sapphire and rhodium finish at their brightest, remove the ring before showering, swimming or applying lotions, and store it in the velvet box when not worn. A soft, dry cloth restores the shine beautifully. Pair it with a band from our sapphire wedding bands for a complete stacked look.
Frequently asked questions
Is the yellow sapphire a genuine sapphire?
Yes. It is a genuine lab-grown yellow sapphire, meaning real corundum with the same composition and hardness as mined sapphire. Lab-grown describes how it was created, not whether it is real.
How durable is the ring for daily wear?
Very durable. Sapphire rates 9 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond, so it resists scratches and everyday knocks exceptionally well, making it ideal for a ring worn every day.
What color is the center stone?
A vivid, cheerful lemon yellow, carefully faceted to maximize brilliance and depth, glowing like captured sunlight against the bright white metal.
What is an elongated cushion cut?
It is a cushion (a softened rectangle with rounded corners) stretched slightly longer than it is wide. The shape flatters the finger and gives the stone a generous, elegant footprint.
What are the accent stones?
The center is surrounded by a halo of simulated diamonds that add a crisp ring of white sparkle and enhance the bold presence of the yellow sapphire.
What metal is the ring made from?
Solid 925 sterling silver, finished with high-polish rhodium for a bright white luster and added protection against tarnish and scratches.
What does the rhodium finish do?
Rhodium is the same precious metal used to finish fine white gold. It gives the silver a mirror-bright, white-gold-like shine and adds a protective layer that helps the ring stay looking freshly polished.
How big is the center stone?
The elongated cushion sapphire measures approximately 7 x 9 mm, around 3.0 carats, for a bold and radiant presence on the finger.
Is it a good engagement or promise ring?
Yes. Its radiant color, halo sparkle and durability make it a joyful engagement ring, and it works beautifully as a promise ring or a milestone gift too.
Is the ring hypoallergenic?
Yes. It is nickel-free and hypoallergenic, so it is safe for sensitive skin and will not turn your finger green.
Can it be resized?
Yes. Select your size at checkout, and if the fit is not quite right, resizing is available and starts from a modest fee. Contact us if you are between sizes.
How do I care for the ring?
Remove it before showering, swimming or applying lotions, store it in the velvet box, and buff with a soft dry cloth to restore shine. Gentle care keeps both the stone and the rhodium finish luminous.
Does it arrive gift-ready?
Every order ships in a free luxury velvet gift box and is backed by our lifetime warranty, ready for a proposal or to give as a keepsake.

Known as the Gem of the Heavens
Sapphire is corundum in every color but red, and the September birthstone. Ancient Persians held that the earth rested on a giant sapphire whose reflection colored the sky, and medieval clergy wore it as a symbol of heaven. At 9 on the Mohs scale a sapphire ring is one of the hardest stones you can wear every day.

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Find my ring size link beside the Add to Cart button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
