The Design
An 8 mm flat band, polished to a mirror finish, with a single carved panel at the center: a leaf frond cut in relief, its veins running the width of the band. A channel of round stones runs down each side of the panel, five to a side, held in a milgrained edge.
The rest of the band is left plain. That is deliberate — a flat profile with a mirror polish reads as a classic men's wedding band from any distance, and the botanical detail only resolves close up. It is a quiet way to carry the same leaf motif the women's Viridian rings wear openly. Our guides to men's engagement rings and non-traditional men's wedding bands cover the wider category, and our honest take on tungsten is worth reading if you are weighing metals.
Classic flat fit, not comfort fit — the inner wall is flat rather than domed, which sits flush against the finger and reads slightly wider than a comfort-fit band of the same measurement. If you are wearing it as an engagement ring, what hand an engagement ring goes on is worth a look — the convention differs for men in a lot of countries.
The Green Tourmaline
Ten round lab-grown green tourmalines run in two channels either side of the carved panel. Tourmaline occurs across the whole color spectrum; the green variety is the one that made the family's name, and at 7–7.5 on the Mohs scale it is a practical stone for a band worn every day.
Set in channels against bright rhodium-finished silver, the green reads as a line of color rather than a scatter — closer to inlay than to pavé. Tourmaline is an October birthstone alongside opal; our October birthstone guide covers both.
Metal
The band is solid 925 sterling silver with a rhodium finish — the same platinum-group metal used on white gold, giving the bright mirror surface and shielding the silver from tarnishing.
Moissanite or lab-grown diamond accents are available as a custom order, as is this design in solid 14K gold.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the tourmaline real?
Yes. It is genuine tourmaline, lab-grown rather than mined — the same chemistry and hardness as the mined stone.
Is tourmaline a birthstone?
Yes — tourmaline is an October birthstone, alongside opal.
Does it match the women's Viridian tourmaline ring?
Yes. Same stone, same leaf motif — the women's ring wears the leaves openly around a marquise center, and this band carries them as a carved panel.
What is it made of?
Solid 925 sterling silver throughout, hallmarked, with a rhodium finish for a bright white surface. No brass or base metal.
Will the silver tarnish?
The rhodium finish acts as a barrier, so it resists the darkening untreated sterling develops. The finish does wear thin after years of daily wear — we can refinish the ring when it does.
Is this a men's ring or unisex?
Both. It is cut at 8 mm, which is a men's width by convention, but nothing about it is gendered — it is worn as a men's wedding band, a men's engagement ring, and as a wide unisex band.
What does classic flat fit mean?
The inside of the band is flat rather than domed. It sits flush against the finger and wears slightly wider than a comfort-fit band of the same measurement. Some people prefer the security of it; others prefer the rounded feel of comfort fit.
What sizes are available?
Sizes 7 through 13, including every half size.
Can the band be resized?
A flat band with channel-set stones can be resized within about one size. Beyond that the channels distort. Resizing starts from $45.
Can I have it engraved?
Yes. Engraving is available on the inner band, up to 16 characters, and can be added as an option at checkout.
Does it match the women's Viridian rings?
Yes — the carved leaf panel is the same motif that runs along the shoulders of the women's Viridian engagement rings, so the two read as a pair without being identical.
Are the stones ethically sourced?
Yes. All Aquamarise stones are conflict-free and responsibly sourced, and every order arrives in a free luxury velvet jewelry box.
